Dr. Horrible's Song Along Blog.

Wikipedia wrote:
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is a 2008 musical tragicomedy short film produced exclusively for Internet distribution. It tells the story of Dr. Horrible, an aspiring supervillain; Captain Hammer, his nemesis; and Penny, their mutual love interest.
The movie was written by writer/director Joss Whedon, his brothers Zack Whedon (a television writer) and Jed Whedon (a composer), and actress Maurissa Tancharoen. The team wrote the musical during the WGA writers' strike. The idea was to create something small and inexpensive, yet professionally done, in a way that would circumvent the issues that were being protested during the strike.[1][2] On October 31, 2008, Time magazine named it #15 in Time's Top 50 Inventions of 2008.[3][4] It also won the People's Choice Award for "Favorite Online Sensation", and the 2009 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form.[5] In the inaugural 2009 Streamy Awards for web television, Dr. Horrible won seven awards: Audience Choice Award for Best Web Series, Best Directing for a Comedy Web Series, Best Writing for a Comedy Web Series, Best Male Actor in a Comedy Web Series (Harris), Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Music.[6] It also won a 2009 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class - Short-format Live-Action Entertainment Programs.[7]

It features Niel Patrick Harris from How I Met Your Mother, Nathon Fillion from Firefly and Serenity, and Felicia Day from The Guild. Joss Whedon has also done shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Serenity, and Dollhouse. So yeah, it's pretty awesome.

I find the DVD to be worth it. The extras are really nice and they even has a second commentary alongside the traditional commentary...cept it's a musical.

Watched it on Youtube was pretty funny.

"There are some things that can beat smartness and foresight? Awkwardness and stupidity can. The best swordsman in the world doesn't need to fear the second best swordsman in the world; no, the person for him to be afraid of is some ignorant antagonist who has never had a sword in his hand before; he doesn't do the thing he ought to do, and so the expert isn't prepared for him; he does the thing he ought not to do; and often it catches the expert out and ends him on the spot."  -Mark Twain

Reminds me of when Felicia Day's character said "I don't like online musicals" on The Legend of Neil shortly before bursting into song :o I understand the joke a bit more now :p
