okay,
since Khalus and I were discussing his new build the other day I figured why not make a thread to list everyones builds?

this is what i'm running:

Intel Core I7 920 CPU
http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=37147
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P Motherboard
http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2986#ov
Patriot 6GB DDR3 1600 MHz Memory (3x2GB)
Dual XFX Radeon HD5770 GPU's in crossfire
http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/graphiccards/hd%205000series/5770.aspx
Coolermaster V8 Aircooling CPU fan
http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=2869
Silverstone RAVEN 2 Fulltower 90 Degree Case
http://www.silverstonetek.com/raven/products/index.php?model=RV02&area=usa
Corsair 750 Watt Power Supply Unit
http://www.corsair.com/products/tx/default.aspx

I also have 1 regular DVD/CD-ROM drive as well as a LG Bluray-ROM drive. I have 2 HDD (hard drives) one 320GB Western Digital Caviar Blue and a 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black. I replaced the one removable 120mm case fan with a antec Tricool blue LED case fan which has a higher CFM airflow. As well as a blue cathode light along the right side of the case.

I feel ashamed just thinking about posting my specs and my computer isn't even that old...

So I;m going to say it is similar to Xalic's old build but I have 3 gigs of ram and the Geforce 9600 card and 500 gig hdd

great choice with the H50 netheri, i suggest mounting the additional fan as it is very efficient, if you can, see about getting fans with higher CFM and it will make it ever better. and Xalic, your memory is 2GB of DDR2 PC6400 800MHz. and you could use an upgrade!

So many HAFs! If anyone is considering the upgrade to SSD... DO IT. It is amazing. I have the Crucial C300 series which is for sata 3 6gb/s and I have seq. read speeds of 345mb/s. That's 4x the speed of a 7200rpm 16mb cache. It was $134 for my 64gb. Newegg ran out last I checked, they had a huge price drop a while back.

yea SSD's offer fantastic performance but theyre very costly, gettting a small 60-100GB drive is great for your OS and core programs/games but otherwise always couple with a 1tb regular HDD for mass storage. Also, boot times from power button to desktop can be roughly 6 seconds with SSD's.
